Panel Reports
The second session explored how existing assessment models, built for a pre-AI landscape, are struggling to safeguard authenticity and equity in a rapidly changing context. Panellists highlighted tensions in current JCQ and exam board guidance, raised concerns over the reliability and ethics of detection software, and examined how NEA might evolve to prioritise process, reflection, and dialogue over product alone.
This inaugural session was designed as a diagnostic exercise to surface emerging practices, highlight key challenges, and begin to identify areas requiring further clarity, collaboration, or support. Discussions were characterised by cautious optimism, with a consistent emphasis on safeguarding, pedagogical coherence, and professional trust.
